“Imagination is more important than knowledge. For knowledge is limited to all we now know and understand, while imagination embraces the entire world, and all there ever will be to know and understand.”

Vietnam - Handpicked by Sam
We've got six lovely Vietnam holiday ideas handpicked by our co-founder Sam. He recently returned to Vietnam after a long break and was inspired all over again about what a great destination Vietnam is for a holiday that becomes a real travel experience. Take these holiday ideas as a jumping-off point for your holiday - we'll help you you have your own adventure. Please find out more below or talk to us.
Cambodia to Vietnam via the Mekong
This was the first trip I ever did in Cambodia and Vietnam and very close to what I did recently. The feeling hasn't changed in 15 years. What better way to feel the different flavours of the region - but by boat? I particularly love Chau Doc and we have some fascinating off-the-beaten-track experiences around there too.
Countryside, Caves & a Beautiful Beach
Hanoi is my favourite place in Vietnam. I had a childhood vision of Asia, based on James Bond and Tintin and it wasn't until I finally visited Hanoi, in 2008, that I found the city that matched that. Couple Hanoi with the Phong Nga caves, a train ride on the Reunification Express - or the line anyway and a glorious beach hotel and you've got yourself a trip.
Vietnam with a culinary twist
No journey in Vietnam is complete without sampling some amazing food. Or at least it shouldn't be. But this trip goes that bit further. We've opened up our contact book to get you deep into the street food markets of Hanoi, out for a royal feast in Hue, fishing and grilling outside Hoi An and a couple of superlative restaurants in Saigon. Say no more.
Weather
Where to go when?
Discover your definitive month-by-month guide to travel in Asia. It's not all about where's best weather-wise, though of course, that plays an important part. Our 'travel calendar' also includes cultural events, festivals and occasions that can elevate your holiday to new heights.
Why choose us?
If you're like us, you really care about travel. A significant part of your year will revolve around it; the planning and excitement beforehand, and the stories you share on your return, all matter almost as much as the adventure itself. What's more, many of us prefer to spend money on experiences, rather than material things. So, trust us: we know how important it is to get your holiday right. Here's how we do it.
