Mandalay Villa sits peacefully on the banks of the Koggala Lake. This magical three bedroom property is one of the island's most comfortable and spacious.
Mandalay has two pavilions – one for sleeping and the other for dining and entertaining. The main two-storey pavilion has two double bedrooms, a master bedroom and a lounge which can also be converted into a bedroom for kids.
The whole top floor is the master bedroom and it is one of the largest in the country. Three sets of wooden doors open to offer spectacular views of the pool, garden and lake. There is also an outdoor balcony with sitting area. All bedrooms have modern en-suite bathrooms.
The second pavilion borders the pool and houses the main dining area and second open plan lounge. There are also extra showers and a bathroom here. The 25 meter pool is most inviting and the turquoise water contrasts alluringly with the white washed walls, dark green lawn and bright cushions.
Mandalay is delightfully furnished throughout with everything you could need during your stay. Food is excellent and prepared to your taste by the resident chef. You can take your meals when you like and they can be served in the dining area, in your room, the garden 'summerhut' or on the lakeside pontoon. Food is purchased by the staff and re-imbursed by you at cost price.
The renowned beaches at Mirissa, Koggla and Unawatuna are just a short journey away. Other attractions in the area include ancient temples, boat trips and fishing. The villa is near a small village and just going to and from the property you will be treated to many of Sri Lanka's colourful rural sights.
Mandalay is one of Sri Lanka's most stylish and beautiful villas and you might be pleasantly surprised by the price.
